Gokseong-gun Shares Warmth with Social Welfare Facilities for Chuseok Holiday

Elderly Welfare Facilities, Residential Facilities for the Disabled, etc.

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it carried out warm-hearted sharing activities by visiting 19 social welfare facilities from the 25th to the 26th in celebration of Chuseok.

The visits included 8 elderly welfare facilities, 2 residential facilities for the disabled, 1 vocational rehabilitation facility for the disabled, 1 mobility support center for the disabled, 2 disabled organizations, 1 Gokseong-gun Family Center, 1 child welfare facility, Gokseong-gun veterans' organizations, the county-run specialized hospital for the elderly, and the Gokseong-gun Senior Citizens Association branch.

The county visited the facilities to offer words of encouragement to welfare facility workers and had warm conversations with the residents. In addition, they provided necessary daily necessities and food products worth 14 million won as consolation items.

Lee Sang-cheol, Governor of Gokseong-gun, said, “We will work harder on welfare administration so that neighbors in need within the region are not neglected and can enjoy a joyful Chuseok holiday.”
