Gaon Group Supplies AI Service Robots with 'AI Solution' Integration to KT

Gaon Group, which has identified the robotics new business sector as a future growth engine and has been aggressively pursuing it since last year, has reaped results by securing the main contract following the completion of development tasks.

Gaon Group announced on the 26th that its subsidiary K-Future Tech has signed an artificial intelligence (AI) indoor delivery robot supply contract with KT. They plan to sequentially supply the quantity according to the agreed schedule.

The robots supplied by K-Future Tech are autonomous service robots integrated with AI solutions. They significantly enhance user convenience and secure differentiation through voice recognition functions linked with the client’s platform. Additionally, multiple robots can autonomously navigate large buildings composed of several wings stably without collisions. They are expected to be used for delivering small items indoors in hotels, hospitals, and residential lodging facilities.

K-Future Tech secured rapid technological capabilities and filed numerous key technology patents last year for stable operation of indoor and outdoor autonomous driving robots. The main focus is on technology that improves the robot’s performance and stability when climbing uneven surfaces and slopes. Given the service robots’ purpose, they often need to provide services across multiple floors using elevators rather than operating only within specific sections. The company explained that enabling smooth navigation in such cases simplifies routes and reduces service time.
