[Click eStock] "Genoco Expected to Benefit from Low Earth Orbit Satellite Communication Network Construction"

Research Alom predicted on the 26th that Zenoco would benefit as the government pushes forward with the construction of a low Earth orbit satellite communication network.

Founded in 2004, Zenoco is a manufacturer of satellite communication components. It developed the 'X-band transmitter,' one of the core components of satellite payloads. The company is developing technologies in the space, aerospace, and defense industry sectors.

Kim Doyoon, a researcher at Research Alom, explained, "On the 19th, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced the 'Satellite Communication Activation Strategy' at the Emergency Economic Ministers' Meeting," adding, "They will apply for a preliminary feasibility study for a project worth approximately 480 billion KRW." He further stated, "The plan is to support research and development (R&D) in the satellite communication field and ultimately establish a domestically independent low Earth orbit satellite communication system."

He analyzed, "During the Russia-Ukraine war, SpaceX's 'Starlink' successfully provided low Earth orbit satellite communication services," adding, "The need to secure related technologies has increased."

Researcher Kim introduced, "In April, Zenoco signed a contract with the Agency for Defense Development to produce a microsatellite low Earth orbit satellite communication platform," and "On the 6th, they also signed a contract for the development of anti-jamming and low probability of intercept (LPI) waveforms for microsatellite communication satellites."

He emphasized, "There are currently no specific standards for microsatellites, so standardization of technical specifications is underway," and added, "We expect Zenoco to play a key role."
