Geumcheon-gu Suspends Garbage Collection on September 29-30 During Chuseok Holiday... Resumes on October 1

Prohibition of Household Waste Disposal from September 29 to 30
Disposal Allowed from October 1, 6 PM

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that during the Chuseok holiday period, the Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation and cleaning contractors will be on break, and therefore household waste (general household waste, food waste, recyclables) will not be collected.

The prohibition period for disposing of household waste is two days, from September 29 to 30. Waste that could not be disposed of during the holiday should be put out starting from 6 PM on October 1.

Geumcheon-gu plans to mobilize cleaning personnel and equipment from the night of October 1 to simultaneously collect the accumulated waste. Additionally, during the period when household waste is not collected, a cleaning task force will operate, and environmental officers will be on emergency duty to promptly respond to complaints.
