Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam, Investigates Chuseok Prices, "Stabilizing the People's Economy is the Top Priority"

Purchasing Goods and Encouraging Merchants at Hapcheon Wanghu Traditional Market

On the 25th, Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, went out to communicate with and encourage merchants in traditional markets across the province ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

Visiting Hapcheon Wanghu Traditional Market that day, Governor Park personally purchased ritual fruits and listened to the merchants' difficulties while checking the price and supply trends of Chuseok seasonal goods.

Governor Park said, "In celebration of Chuseok, we will prioritize stabilizing the livelihood economy and do our utmost to prepare measures to stabilize prices so that the burden on residents due to rising prices does not increase." He added, "Revitalizing traditional markets leads directly to regional economic revitalization, so I hope residents will use traditional markets frequently."

Following this, Governor Park paid respects at the Atomic Bomb Victims Memorial and visited a welfare center to extend Chuseok greetings and deliver consolation gifts to elderly residents.

He promised, "Gyeongnam Province will pay close attention to ensure that the elderly can live healthy and happy later years."

In celebration of Chuseok, Gyeongnam Province is promoting ▲ 18 billion KRW worth of policy funds for small business owners ▲ e-Gyeongnam Mall Chuseok special exhibition ▲ seafood special exhibition ▲ traditional market Onnuri gift certificate refund events.

To promote seafood consumption and support the local fisheries industry, a supplementary budget of 2.1 billion KRW has been allocated to help purchase Onnuri gift certificates at discounted prices, along with various events such as seafood discount promotions.

Starting with Hapcheon County, Governor Park plans to tour traditional markets across the province to check prices and facility conditions, participate in traditional market shopping events, and deliver consolation gifts to welfare facilities in the province.
