Inviting Over 500 Employees' Families with Children and Elementary Students
Sharing Family Time, "Family-Friendly Management and Healthy Corporate Culture"
LIG Nex1 (CEO Kim Ji-chan) held the ‘2023 LIG Nex1 Family Day’ on the 22nd at Pangyo House, inviting employees and their families.
The LIG Nex1 Family Day began in 2011 to boost employee morale and enhance families’ understanding and sense of belonging to the workplace.
Every year, various events are held at each business site according to the season, establishing it as a representative corporate culture reflecting LIG Nex1’s ‘family-friendly’ management philosophy. This year, ahead of Chuseok this month, about 500 employees, spouses, and children participated.
Starting with a welcome speech by Kim Ji-chan, CEO of LIG Nex1, a variety of programs were presented, including a comprehensive magic show (magic performance, LED show, circus performance), macaron making, and a playground.
An event was also held to present honorary employee certificates to participating families. Ahead of Chuseok, the event concluded with various traditional folk games that the whole family could enjoy together, such as hanbok experience, folk games, and moon-viewing photo sessions, followed by a dinner banquet.
Park Jang-sung, Senior Researcher at the Overseas Business Research Institute (age 38), who attended the event with his spouse and children, said, “I felt proud to be able to show my company to my family, which increased my loyalty to the company. It seems to have been a healing time for the whole family. I thank the company and the NB members who planned and organized the event.”
Kim Ji-chan, CEO of LIG Nex1, stated, “This event was prepared to deliver precious memories and gratitude to employees and their families. I hope Family Day becomes a place where families can better understand the workplace and empathize with each other. We will continue to establish a corporate culture where work and family harmoniously coexist through various family-friendly programs.”
LIG Nex1 operates various welfare programs to promote family-friendly management and a healthy corporate culture. It runs in-house daycare centers in Pangyo, Yongin, and Gumi. Every Wednesday is designated as ‘Family Day,’ allowing employees to leave work early and spend time with their families.
Recently, LIG Nex1 was selected as a ‘Top Job Creator in Korea’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor for its diverse welfare programs and family-friendly management, receiving a presidential commendation plaque.
Additionally, LIG Nex1 operates NB (Nex1 Board), an autonomous employee council that serves as a communication channel between the company, employees, and members. NB gathers diverse employee opinions and promotes family-centered events to create a joyful workplace, building LIG Nex1’s unique competitiveness.
NB holds two ‘Family Invitation Camping’ events in spring and autumn, as well as ‘In-house Family Invitation’ events, receiving positive responses from employees and their families.
