46.97 Panjanler, Gold Medal with Asian Record
Competing in 800m Medley Relay on 25th, 200m Freestyle on 27th
Hwang Sun-woo (20, Gangwon Province Office) won the bronze medal in the men's 100m freestyle at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

On the 24th, Hwang Sun-woo touched the pad at 48.04 seconds to finish third in the men's 100m freestyle final at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games swimming competition held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool in China.
Pan Zhanle (19, China) set another Asian record with a time of 46.97 seconds. Following him, Wang Haoyu (18, China) took the silver medal with a time of 48.02 seconds.
Although he narrowly missed the gold medal, Hwang Sun-woo became the second Korean swimmer in history, after Park Tae-hwan, to stand on the podium in the men's 100m freestyle at the Asian Games.
Park Tae-hwan won the silver medal in this event at the 2006 Doha Asian Games and the gold medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
After winning the bronze medal in his first Asian Games event, Hwang Sun-woo will challenge for another gold medal in the 800m freestyle relay on the 25th and the 200m freestyle on the 27th.
