Sacheon-si Successfully Concludes Aerospace Specialized Job Fair

Achieved Results Including 14 On-Site Hires and 69 Reinterviews

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam successfully concluded the ‘2023 Sacheon City Aerospace Specialized Job Fair,’ held independently again this year following last year, attracting a huge crowd of job seekers and employment candidates.

This fair was organized to provide broad employment opportunities to both employers and job seekers, and to offer effective employment services through information exchange and resolving information mismatches.

According to Sacheon City, the ‘2023 Sacheon City Aerospace Specialized Job Fair’ held at Sacheon Gymnasium was filled with enthusiasm for employment, with about 500 students and job seekers visiting.

Additionally, side events aimed at visitor convenience received positive responses, including an aerospace manufacturing industry vision briefing (hosted by KAI), employment consulting (resume writing techniques), fingerprint aptitude tests, resume photo shoots, makeup services, and cafeteria operations.

In particular, the talk concert played a significant role as a career guide by providing explanations on the future prospects and vision of the aerospace industry, the status of partner companies involved in mutual growth, and ongoing projects, hosted by KAI, a leading company in aerospace manufacturing.

This is attributed to the active participation of 29 aerospace companies in the Sacheon area (19 direct, 10 indirect) committed to recruiting talent. Direct participation involved conducting interviews on-site, while indirect participation involved only accepting resumes.

The job fair achieved results including 145 resume submissions (139 direct, 6 indirect), 14 on-site hires, and 69 re-interviews.

Sacheon City has traditionally co-hosted the Gyeongnam Western Region Job Fair every October with Gyeongnam Province and co-organized by eight cities and counties in western Gyeongnam.

Since 2022, Sacheon City has independently held the job fair to provide job seekers with diverse on-site information and employment opportunities, and to offer companies a good chance to recruit talented personnel.

Mayor Park Dong-sik said, “It seems we have provided various information and employment opportunities to aerospace industry job seekers and a good chance for companies to hire talented individuals,” adding, “We will continue to do our best by preparing various events to provide effective employment services in the future.”
