Sandan Gong, Final Demo Day Selects Winning Teams
The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (Chairman Lee Sang-hoon) announced on the 22nd that it held the '7th G-Valley Startup Competition' Demo Day at L Convention in Guro-dong, Seoul. Since 2017, this competition, hosted by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) in collaboration with the government, local governments, and business support organizations to revitalize the G-Valley startup ecosystem, has seen participation from over 1,300 startup teams to date.
This year, a total of 214 teams consisting of prospective entrepreneurs and early-stage startups (within 7 years of establishment) participated. After the first document screening, the second presentation evaluation, and two rounds of acceleration processes, 8 teams were selected to determine the final rankings through the Demo Day. The grand prize was awarded to TOrder (CEO Kwon Sung-taek) and Eight Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Ryu Jae-ho), who received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award and the Seoul Mayor’s Award, respectively.

The gold prize went to Korea Deep Learning Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Ji-hyun) and Agos Vision (CEO Park Ki-young), who received the Chairman’s Award of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and the President’s Award of Soongsil University, respectively. The silver prize was awarded to Anywhere (CEO Choi Won-seok) and Dakyum (CEO Seo Dae-ho), and the bronze prize went to Kyer (CEO Lee Kyo-hyuk) and Cheonnyeon Sikhyang (CEO Ahn Baek-rin).
Winning teams will receive prize money of up to 10 million KRW according to their awards, along with priority eligibility for startup support spaces within G-Valley. The organizing institutions plan to provide linked support through startup support programs and follow-up investments. Kim Sung-gi, head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "For G-Valley to continue developing, it must become a space that young people and startups want to visit," adding, "We will continue to establish a solid collaborative support system with various related organizations and strive to promote startup vitality."
