LGU+ 'Spoky', Introduces Real-Time Pro Baseball Win Prediction Feature

Predicting Game Outcomes Through Live Data Analysis of Scores, Innings, Out Counts, and On-Base Events

LG Uplus announced on the 24th that it will introduce a 'Real-time Match Prediction' feature on its integrated sports community platform, 'Spoky.'

The real-time match prediction function analyzes live data such as current scores, innings, out counts, and base-running situations to provide expected game results updated in real time for each batter. Since it predicts game outcomes based on real-time data, the accuracy is expected to improve significantly.

This update was made to allow Spoky users to enjoy the postseason autumn baseball more conveniently and enjoyably amid fierce ranking competition for playoff advancement as the KBO regular season nears its end.

In addition to real-time match prediction, Spoky has significantly enhanced convenience and fun by introducing various new features such as ▲AI-based highlight videos ▲checking other stadiums' statuses ▲audio mode ▲team strength comparison.

A feature that allows AI to generate highlight videos of key scoring moments will also be added. Previously, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to provide highlight videos, but by utilizing AI, this time has been reduced to about 3 minutes.

The other stadium status check feature allows users to view the status of games taking place in other stadiums while watching their cheering team's game. While watching the cheering team's game in full screen, pressing the 'Other Stadium Games' button located at the bottom of the screen displays scores, base-running status, and out count information of other games in a popup window over the live broadcast video.

Audio mode is a function that allows users to listen to the broadcast only by sound without the screen. When watching a game, pressing the 'Audio Mode' button lets the sound continue playing even if the phone screen is turned off, enabling users to listen to the broadcast while on the move with the phone in their pocket.

Through the team strength comparison feature, users can predict today's match results using detailed team strength information such as season records, batting averages, earned run averages, and head-to-head records. Additionally, new features such as automatic horizontal resolution adjustment during full-screen live viewing, sound and brightness control within the screen, screen lock function, and various resolution quality options have been newly added.

Spoky also plans to launch a 'Record Room' in October, where users can check detailed statistics for all KBO players active since the league's inaugural year in 1982, including batting averages, earned run averages, and player-specific advanced metrics such as 'WAR (Wins Above Replacement),' which indicates how much a player contributed to the team's victory.
