Event Resumes After 4 Years Due to COVID-19 Spread Impact
Daehan Electric Wire & Cable held the '2023 Hanmaeum Sports Festival' at the Dangjin Sports Complex Indoor Gymnasium to promote unity among employees at the Dangjin factory and construction sites, the company announced on the 24th.
This sports festival was planned in 2019 to enhance harmony and communication among employees working at the factory and construction sites. It was suspended due to the spread of COVID-19 and was held again this year after four years. About 450 employees from the Dangjin factory, Dangjin Power Equipment Factory, and construction sites participated in the event, enjoying sports competitions and talent shows.

The sports event was designed as a cheerful sports day concept, featuring programs that everyone could enjoy rather than competitive matches. Employees were divided into four teams?Unity, Alliance, Harmony, and Progress?and participated in various games such as tug-of-war and the Hanmaeum relay race. The following talent show provided a joyful time with congratulatory performances and employees showcasing their talents.
A Daehan Electric Wire & Cable official said, "It is meaningful to create an opportunity where employees, who usually find it difficult to gather due to different workplaces, can come together, communicate openly, and enjoy themselves." He added, "We hope this event will serve as a catalyst to inspire new motivation and passion."
