Eunpyeong-gu Showcases Various Crowdfunding Projects by Social Economy Enterprises Until October 24
-
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will operate the ‘2023 Eunpyeong-gu Social Economy Crowdfunding Pavilion’ until October 24.
‘Crowdfunding’ is a term combining Crowd, meaning the public, and Funding, meaning raising funds. It is a fundraising activity where companies in need of capital introduce their projects to the public, build empathy, and receive support and sponsorship.
Eunpyeong-gu provided education and consulting to five social economy enterprises participating in this social economy funding project. Afterwards, assistance was given to plan funding projects that reflect each company’s unique social value.
The companies featured in the ‘Eunpyeong-gu Crowdfunding Pavilion,’ which opened on the 19th, include ▲‘Kkumkkuneun Chingudeul Cooperative’ (Kkumchin Cafe Voucher) ▲‘Springshine Social Cooperative’ (Baby Sunshine Cushion DIY Kit) ▲‘Ipul Yakcho Cooperative’ (Beneficial Herbs, Three Types of Reusable Packs) ▲‘Chorok Isol Co., Ltd.’ (Dongmangbong, Walking the Path of Longing). On the 26th, ▲‘Sseudam Sseudam Cooperative’ (Plant-based Vegan Leather Pencil Cases and Wallets) will be unveiled.
By participating in supporting companies at the Eunpyeong-gu funding pavilion on the OhmyCompany website, supporters can receive discounted products or services, or newly launched products or services as rewards.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “I hope this project will provide social economy enterprises with an opportunity to break away from the somewhat rigid existing distribution structure and establish new funding methods,” adding, “I hope the messages these companies want to deliver to our society will touch people’s hearts and receive much support.”
