"I am having so much fun."
This is the recent update on 'beautiful golfer' Yoon Chae-young, who left the field last April. In an interview with Asian Economy on the 25th, she said, "I planned to rest fully for a year after retirement, but I have been even busier," and smiled brightly, adding, "Still, I am happy because I continue to do what I love." She continued, "I received so much love as a player," and said, "Next year, I am thinking about ways to give back to my fans, including activities on YouTube."

Yoon Chae-young is a player who was active in both Korea and Japan. She debuted on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour in 2006 and created a drama by lifting the winner's trophy at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters in July 2014 after as many as 160 tournaments. At that time, she made it more meaningful by defeating the 'Golf Empress' Park In-bee. She boasted consistency by maintaining her tour card on the KLPGA Tour for 11 years, producing stable results every year. In 2017, she joined the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour and played for six years until last year. Although she did not win, she appeared in 159 tournaments, finished runner-up four times, and entered the 'Top 10' a total of 24 times.
In March, Yoon Chae-young greeted Japanese golf fans first at the JLPGA Tour Yamaha Ladies Open, and in April, she played her last round at the first major tournament of the KLPGA Tour, the Chris F&C 45th KLPGA Championship. She said, "I planned to take a sabbatical after retirement. When I actually tried to rest, it wasn't easy," adding, "With the help of those around me, I started working on golf-related activities. Now, I think it was good to start working right away," smiling.
Yoon Chae-young has a strong support group. They are friends of the same generation who retired around the same time. Kim Ha-neul and Choi Na-yeon, who have been close friends, played the role of reliable companions. Yoon Chae-young recalled, "I had many conversations with the two friends who retired earlier," and "We had fun times going out together."

The three, known as close friends in the golf world, appeared together on JTBC Golf's variety show 'The Dream,' which aired in May. Yoon Chae-young said, "The program contained the meaning of new dreams and giving back the love received from fans," and introduced, "It included episodes from the golf courses that decorated a page of my life, from my debut, first win, to the tearful retirement ceremony." She took a nostalgic trip to Jeju Ora Country Club, an unforgettable place where she achieved '159 attempts, 160th success.'
Yoon Chae-young confessed, "I learned a lot through the golf variety show. I realized once again how much love I received." She recalled, "The surprise fan meeting with fans, mentoring junior players, and giving lessons to those who carried my golf bag are unforgettable." She added, "Although my body was tired, there were many moments that warmed my heart," and said, "It was meaningful, so I felt very good."
Yoon Chae-young is expanding her activities from golf variety shows to events. She also gave lectures to the general public. On the 20th, she conducted a one-point lesson for VIPs sponsored by her clothing sponsor Chris F&C. Chris F&C continues to support Yoon Chae-young unwaveringly even after her retirement. She wears golf apparel from Master Bunny. She said, "I participated in such events even when I was active, but this was the first time since leaving the field," and laughed, "Having peace of mind allowed me to give lessons more enthusiastically."

Yoon Chae-young is busier these days. She plans to open her personal YouTube channel next year. She intends to firmly establish herself as a 'sportainer.' Last month, she signed a contract with a management company that can produce content. It is a 'rigorous schedule' with meetings and filming three times a week. She is planning various items that can be helpful to golf fans. Yoon Chae-young said, "I haven't decided on the channel name yet. I plan to open it after thorough preparation," and asked, "I will try to show a new side of myself. I hope to receive a lot of support."
