According to local Brazilian media on the 21st (local time), Santo Amaro University expelled six male medical students from the university who simulated semi-nude masturbation during a university women's volleyball game held in S?o Carlos, S?o Paulo state, last April.

Earlier, local police launched an investigation on the 17th after a video capturing their inappropriate behavior was circulated on the internet, causing a major controversy. The video was distributed recently, five months after the incident occurred.

The video showed male students from the university's futsal team who had gone to cheer for the Santo Amaro University women's volleyball team, standing in the stands with their pants pulled down to their ankles, touching their genitals and engaging in sexual acts. It was confirmed that more than ten individuals participated in such behavior.

After the game ended, they also created disgraceful scenes by exposing their genitals and running around on the court.

As the controversy grew, the Ministry of Education ordered Santo Amaro University to report within 15 days what measures they would take regarding the incident. They also warned that disciplinary actions would be taken if the order was not followed.

Additionally, Camilo Santana, Minister of Education, stated on his social media (SNS), "We firmly reject such behavior by (the medical students)," emphasizing, "It is unacceptable for students who will become future doctors to show such tremendous disrespect toward women."

The Brazilian Ministry of Women also said it would cooperate with the Ministry of Education to help the university move away from this type of violence.

In response, the university said, "The school opposes this type of behavior. It is completely contrary to the school's history and values," adding, "Recognizing the serious incident involving medical students, we have applied the university's strictest regulations and decided to expel the six students confirmed so far." However, the names of the expelled students were not disclosed.

The police stated that the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
