The TestTech branch of the Korean Metal Workers' Union announced on the 21st through an official statement that they "appreciate the company's proactive willingness to improve and intend to maintain a friendly and cooperative labor-management relationship."
Earlier, during the special labor inspection period conducted over the past three months, TestTech established a consultative body to correct long-standing practices within the company and improve the organizational culture.
A representative of the TestTech branch of the Korean Metal Workers' Union stated, "We recognize that it is time for the company and workers to grow together, and through improving the organizational culture, we will restore trust in the industry. Our union will actively participate in the joint efforts of labor and management to address the current issues."
They continued, "All workers at the workplace sincerely accept the management's commitment to improving the organizational culture and will actively contribute to enhancing productivity and quality. We will create a progressive labor-management culture and grow together with the company."
TestTech has acknowledged the issues that arose within the company and has worked to resolve the rigid labor-management relationship through strong measures against the responsible parties. Additionally, by strengthening communication and expanding consensus, they have laid the foundation for a harmonious labor-management relationship.
The company reported that productivity has noticeably improved following the restoration of trust between labor and management. With transparent operations and a collective desire to grow, all employees have united to increase per capita productivity from 107㎡ at the beginning of this year to 140㎡ currently, a 31% increase.
Meanwhile, TestTech plans to hold a 'Labor-Management Joint Committee' with both management and the labor union to improve the organizational culture.
