On the 21st, the Gwangju Dongbu Police Station announced that it held a joint meeting to inspect safety measures for crime victims in the small conference room of the police station.

Through sharing information about the subjects of safety measures for crime victims, the importance of protecting crime victims was recognized, and the risk assessment of each subject was re-evaluated with the goal of 'preventing secondary damage to crime victims.'

Jo Young-il, chief of the Dongbu Police Station, stated, "With the increase in crimes motivated by abnormal reasons and relational crimes, the importance of police safety measures for crime victims is growing, and public expectations are also rising."

He added, "We urge the related departments to make active efforts to ensure that victims do not suffer secondary damage through prompt and accurate risk assessments."
