The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 21st that the cumulative number of visitors to its weekend performances held every Sunday afternoon this year has exceeded 8,000.
The weekend performances operate on a first-come, first-served basis without prior reservation and feature a variety of genres including science magic shows, children's plays, musical concerts, and sand art performances.
On the 24th at 2 PM, the ‘Funny Magic Show,’ loved by people of all ages and involving direct audience participation, will be held.
In October, marking the 10th anniversary of the Gwangju Science Museum's opening, even more abundant weekend performances are planned.
The popular opera performance crossing pop and opera genres, ‘Cross Foreman & Cellist’ (8th), the recreational program ‘Pierrot Performance’ (15th) where a clown distributes balloons and interacts with children, ‘Science Magic’ (22nd) combining scientific principles and magic, and the highly popular ‘Air Balloon Performance’ (29th) showcasing balloon performances will be presented to visitors.
Deputy Director Jeon Tae-ho stated, "We hope families create special and enjoyable memories by experiencing various exhibits together and watching performances along with educational programs."
