The event was organized to revitalize traditional markets, which have been experiencing continuous economic downturn due to reduced seafood consumption following Japan's Fukushima contaminated water discharge and rising prices.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun, along with council members and staff, visited the Ilro 5-day Market to encourage seafood consumption, directly purchased ceremonial goods and various agricultural products, and listened to the difficulties faced by traditional market merchants.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun said, "I hope everyone actively participates in consuming our excellent agricultural, seafood, and livestock products," and added, "I wish all residents and merchants a warm and abundant Chuseok."
