NCSoft Writes Second Letter, Introduces Unreleased TL Content

NCSoft introduced unreleased content of its new MMORPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY (hereafter TL), on the 21st.

In the second "Producer's Letter," newly revealed content includes ▲ two boss monsters that offer the fun of control and can be tackled by interacting with the environment ▲ three regions unfolding in the TL open world ▲ and a "Party Instance Dungeon" where six users cooperate to conquer. TL's development director, PD An Jong-ok, provided detailed explanations.

The boss monsters revealed by PD An are "Malaka" and "Tevent (Archboss)." "Malaka" summons clones to fight. Users can enjoy the fun of control by dodging exploding clones and blocking the energy the clones transfer to "Malaka." The Archboss "Tevent" is a monster that showcases TL’s feature of interacting with the environment. The curse used by "Tevent" can be purified with water, making it easier to conquer on rainy days.

Part of TL’s vast open world was also unveiled. Users can see the backgrounds and concept art of ▲ the orcs’ canyon "Ponos Basin," ▲ the beast-inhabited night "Grayclaw Forest," and ▲ the forbidden zone "Lizard Island." By exploring each region and defeating monsters, users can understand the world view of TL.

PD An introduced the "Party Instance Dungeon," saying, "We are paying close attention to the balance and combination of content so that players of any playstyle can enjoy TL with a sense of challenge." The "Party Instance Dungeon" is content where six users tackle it together. It is divided into "Breakthrough Sections" and "Boss Sections." In the "Breakthrough Sections," users can enjoy puzzle-like fun by interacting with various elements of the world.

The "Boss Section," encountered at the end of the "Breakthrough Sections," requires strategic play using TL’s unique "weapon combinations" to pass. Powerful boss monsters also appear. One of them, introduced as "Heliver, the Abyssal Guide," is a "Grim Reaper" that focuses attacks on one of the players attacking it.

At the end of the letter, PD An mentioned, "We plan to have a time to clearly answer the questions users are curious about." Users can leave questions about new content and development directions on the official website’s "Speak to TL" board.
