October 1-3 Normal Collection on 28th, Closed on 29-30th
Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) has launched the 'Chuseok Holiday Household Waste Management Plan' to ensure that citizens and returning visitors can spend the Chuseok holiday in a clean and sanitary Yeosu.
According to the city on the 20th, during the six-day Chuseok holiday, a 'Comprehensive Situation Room for Household Waste Disposal Measures' will be operated, and a 'Household Waste Mobile Disposal Team' composed of collection vehicles and sanitation workers will be deployed to promptly respond to related complaints.
The household waste collection days during the holiday are September 28 (Thursday), October 1 (Sunday), October 2 (Monday), and October 3 (Tuesday), with no collection on Chuseok day, September 29 (Friday), and the following day, September 30 (Saturday).
Large waste will be collected on two days: September 28 (Thursday) and October 2 (Monday).
Additionally, from the 21st to the 27th, cleanliness activities will be conducted throughout the city, including around homes and business sites, to create a pleasant holiday atmosphere.
Furthermore, the city will focus on cracking down on illegal dumping of waste, inspect businesses that produce large amounts of food waste, and conduct guidance and inspections on food waste discharge practices at general restaurants and collective dining facilities.
A city official stated, "Please prepare only the necessary amount of food to actively participate in reducing household waste," and added, "We also ask that you dispose of waste according to the collection schedule during the holiday period."
