"Caused great concern... Sorry once again"
Actor Yoo Ah-in (37, real name Eom Hong-sik), who is accused of habitual drug use, appeared for a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant hearing) on the 21st. The decision on whether to detain him is expected to be made as early as that day.
The Seoul Central District Court (Judge Yoon Jae-nam, in charge of warrants) held a warrant hearing from 10 a.m. on the same day for Yoo Ah-in and his acquaintance Choi (32), who are accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances), evidence tampering, and aiding a criminal.

This warrant hearing is also the second for Yoo Ah-in. Earlier in May, the police applied for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in, but the court at that time dismissed it, stating that "it is difficult to conclude there is a risk of evidence tampering or flight."
On the day, Yoo Ah-in was also spotted arriving at the Seoul Central District Court. In the photos, he appeared in a black suit and told reporters, "I am truly sorry once again for causing great concern all this time," adding, "I will answer sincerely in court and honestly share any opinions I can."

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in is accused of habitually using medical narcotics such as propofol about 200 times at hospitals around Seoul since 2020, amounting to approximately 500 million KRW. He is also accused of illegally obtaining and using about 1,000 sleeping pills prescribed under other people's names on dozens of occasions, and of using narcotics including marijuana in the United States in January together with four people including his acquaintance Choi.
