Wellcron's allergy care functional bedding brands ‘Sesa’ and ‘Sesa Living’ have released several new fall/winter (FW) products that combine modern style design with functional materials.

In terms of functionality, they used the allergy care fabric ‘Wellosh,’ which is woven with ultra-fine fibers at high density to suppress harmful substances in bedding such as house dust mites and dust particles. Sesa Living’s ‘Hive’ combines horizontal stripes with a warm cream yellow color to create a cozy feeling. Depending on preference, it can be used by switching to the pastel-toned brown color on the reverse side. The zipper is a concealed zipper that does not show the line on the outside.

Sesa, a department store brand, offers the ‘Intense’ with a gray color on the front and a toned-down charcoal color on the back. It has been praised for its restrained luxury. The filling uses 3M Thinsulate and is also available in a quilted comforter style filled with down or goose down.

In addition, various season-specific bedding items have been prepared, such as the traditional Korean-style wedding blanket ‘Jador’ that adopts fusion Han-style design, and the hotel-style white bedding ‘Liel’.

‘Jade,’ available from both Sesa and Sesa Living, is a functional bedding that mixes Chuncheon jade into the fiber yarn to provide far-infrared radiation during sleep. The far-infrared radiation emitted by the mineral stone is known to help promote blood circulation and metabolism. Unlike existing products that use raw jade stones, Jade is made from ‘Wellosh Jade’ fabric created with jade yarn, securing aesthetic appeal. The yarn itself contains jade powder. According to Wellcron, test evaluations by the Korea Far-Infrared Association showed that even after fabric processing, the far-infrared emission rate was 88.7%, showing almost no difference from raw jade stones.

The design was not overlooked either. Embracing a ‘Modern & Chic’ sensibility, it features a simple embroidered pattern in gray color. A Wellcron representative explained, “Jade is a functional bedding product that, based on Wellcron’s excellent material technology, breaks away from the traditional image of jade while fully preserving practicality that helps with sound sleep.”
