First SM VR Concert Held in Partnership with AmazeVR
Tickets Available for Reservation from 10 AM on September 27
Studio Realive, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment (formerly Studio Gwangya), announced on the 21st that it will hold the aespa VR concert at Megabox COEX in Seoul in collaboration with AmazeVR, a global virtual reality (VR) concert specialist company. Titled 'LYNK-POP: THE 1st VR CONCERT aespa,' the concert will take place from October 25th to the end of November. This is the first VR concert by an SM artist.
Notably, the aespa VR concert was officially invited to SXSW (South by Southwest), the world's largest music conference held in Texas earlier this year, where it received high praise from many attendees, raising expectations for enthusiastic responses from music fans. AmazeVR is a VR concert production and distribution platform company, possessing proprietary technologies such as AI-based video processing and Unreal Engine-based VR content production.
The aespa VR concert offers two packages: 'Special Package' and 'Standard Package.' GS Retail will conduct joint marketing and ticket sales through digital and offline advertisements. Tickets will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. on the 27th via the Megabox website, mobile app, and the Woori Dongnae GS app. More detailed information about the concert and reservations can be found at amazevr.com.
Lee Seung-woo, CEO of Studio Realive, said, "This performance is like aespa guiding fans on a journey to a new world and experience through their performance and visuals," adding, "It is a concert that perfectly suits aespa, a metaverse group with a worldview that travels through virtual spaces, and will greatly meet fans' expectations."
