MGN Solution is accelerating the advancement of its AI (artificial intelligence) fire solution in collaboration with its subsidiary.
MGN Solution announced on the 21st that its subsidiary, Hyundai Infracore, has completed the patent application for the "Fire Possibility Judgment System within Logistics Centers."
This system uses server, vehicle-mounted, and ground devices to assess the possibility of fire based on the battery status information of logistics transport vehicles.
The patent is a result of a purchase-conditional project led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Accordingly, MGN Solution plans to supply the "Garag Market Logistics Transport Equipment and Charging Station Location and Fire Alarm Emergency Service" to the client, Seoul Agricultural & Marine Products Corporation.
According to the client, due to the enlargement and densification of logistics centers, measures against complex disasters are urgently needed. A major factor is the increased possibility of fire during charging caused by the rise in electric logistics transport equipment. There is a high risk of spreading to large-scale fires, and especially with the accelerated replacement of lead-acid batteries with lithium-ion batteries, there is exposure to risk factors such as battery explosions.
MGN Solution’s system provides an integrated control system for possible vehicle incidents including ▲overheating warnings ▲communication failures ▲fire detection. It features a mobile alarm function in case of danger and can enable faster suppression by linking with existing fire prevention systems.
MGN Solution’s AI fire solution can be applied in various forms not only to logistics centers but also to factories, highways, tunnels, cultural heritage sites, underground facilities, and all recycling facilities?places vulnerable to fire outbreaks.
A company representative said, “With the trend toward automation and unmanned operations in industrial sites, the demand for fire-related solutions is also growing.” He added, “We are maximizing synergy by combining our communication technology and intelligent (AI) CCTV video analysis technology with Hyundai Infracore’s firefighting technology.”
He continued, “We have filed and hold multiple patents related to fire, including a patent that can quickly suppress fires in electric vehicles. We expect to expand the application of this technology to electric cars, electric motorcycles, charging stations, and more.”
