A Han River cruise ship, which was hosting a large corporation's family event, shook violently, causing 16 people to sustain minor injuries and receive hospital treatment. The accident is believed to have occurred as the cruise ship collided with a bridge due to strong winds.

According to the Yeongdeungpo Fire Station in Seoul on the 21st, at around 7:01 PM the previous day, the Han River cruise ship Araho, carrying 146 passengers, shook, resulting in 16 people experiencing dizziness, shoulder and chest pain, and other minor injuries, and they were transported to the hospital. The fire department estimates that the accident occurred when the cruise ship collided with a bridge pier due to strong winds while passing Mapo Bridge.


The cruise ship had departed at 6 PM from the Araho dock near Yeouinaru Station and was moving downstream after circling Wonhyo Bridge. The cruise was hosting a large corporation's family event, with 139 passengers and 7 crew members on board.


In response to the accident, 43 fire personnel were dispatched, and 12 fire vehicles including ambulances were deployed. The fire department concluded the situation and transferred control to the Yeouido Police Substation at around 8:24 PM after transporting the injured.
