Comedian-turned-YouTuber Kim Young-min, who has criticized the Moon Jae-in administration and the Democratic Party of Korea, attended the People Power Party's admission welcome ceremony on the 20th.

On the same day, the People Power Party held an admission welcome ceremony at the National Assembly for Kim, along with former Jeju Police Chief Ko Ki-cheol, former National Tax Service Commissioner Kim Hyun-joon, former SK Group Vice President Park Young-choon, and former Namyangju Mayor Cho Gwang-han.

Kim runs a political satire YouTube channel called 'Naesishipbun.' The channel, which is considered right-leaning, has about 430,000 subscribers. He was especially well-known to the public when he played the role of a court eunuch during comedy programs, and it is known that he named his YouTube channel 'Naesishipbun' based on that role.

Since 2020, Kim has been producing political content containing critical messages about the Moon Jae-in administration. After the presidential election, he also produced numerous contents criticizing the Democratic Party.

For example, on the 12th, he posted a video titled "Jaemyung, is that a fast? It's a detox!" attacking Lee Jae-myung, the current leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is currently fasting.

At the admission ceremony on the 20th, Kim said, "There are many seniors in the arts community who raise political voices, but the problems in the arts sector have not been resolved," adding, "I could not see any opportunity because the public sector cartel is so severe. I wanted to solve many problems, so I came to the People Power Party."

He continued, "Artists, juniors, the livelihood is with the People Power Party," and added, "I will work hard."

Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, said at the welcome ceremony, "I am pleased to hold an admission ceremony welcoming people with nationwide recognition, expertise, and insight who have made many achievements," and added, "We welcome gaining strong allies and invaluable support for our party."
