Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that various events will be held at Ttukbang Market to celebrate Chuseok.
At Ttukbang Market, a 'Dal-tteok Sharing Event' will be held for all visitors. Through this event, visitors can enjoy Dal-tteok, make wishes, and spend meaningful time with their families.
Customers who purchase more than 30,000 KRW will receive a Chuseok gift bojagi wrapping service, and those who purchase more than 50,000 KRW will be given an insulated bag.
On the 23rd, about 60 sellers offering various handicrafts and homemade foods are expected to participate.
The Gokseong-gun Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Council is preparing to operate a direct agricultural products market, and students from Jeil High School in Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do, will publicly showcase their hand-crafted lacquered woodcrafts for the first time.
Additionally, Gokseong Ttukbang Market is utilized as a startup incubator space in various fields, providing opportunities for diverse residents to participate and grow.
Through this, it also serves as a medium to help settle in Gokseong and establish themselves as small business owners.
Ttukbang Market is a representative free market of Gokseong-gun, which started in 2016 and is now in its 8th year.
Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., various handicrafts, homemade foods, and cultural events are held.
Various events are planned within Ttukbang Market in the second half of the year as well. In October, an event themed around an autumn picnic will be held for visitors, linked with the Gokseong Simcheong Children's Festival.
In November, family-friendly cultural events such as the '7080 Let's Go Festival,' centered on a retro market and a 70s-80s song playlist, are prepared.
Furthermore, Ttukbang Market plans to conduct a user satisfaction survey to continuously improve.
They will assess satisfaction with facilities, services, and friendliness, and improve any shortcomings to operate a differentiated Ttukbang Market unique to Gokseong-gun.
The representative of Ttukbang Cooperative said, “Various events are prepared at Ttukbang Market this Chuseok week. We hope families, couples, and friends feel warm affection along Ttukbang-gil and spend leisurely time by the beautiful Gokseong riverside.”
