Indian Ambassador to Korea Visits Krafton to Discuss Expansion of Game Market

On the 14th, Krafton announced on the 20th that Amit Kumar, the Ambassador of India to Korea, visited Krafton's Seoul headquarters and held a cordial meeting.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and India, the meeting was attended by Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to Korea, Nishikant Singh, Deputy Ambassador, Jang Byung-gyu, Chairman of Krafton's Board of Directors, and Son Hyun-il, CEO of Krafton's India subsidiary. Through the meeting, they celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and emphasized Krafton's commitment to expanding its presence in the Indian gaming market.


Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to Korea, stated, "The Indian government is promoting the development of the entertainment and gaming industries and supporting the growth of startups," adding, "Krafton's entry into the Indian market and its investment in building a digital ecosystem align precisely with the Indian government's initiatives."


In addition to investments, they also discussed the upcoming 'India-Korea Invitational' esports friendly match scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India, this October. At the India-Korea Invitational, professional players from both countries will compete using 'Battlegrounds Mobile India,' developed and serviced by Krafton specifically for the Indian region, fostering goodwill between the two nations.


CEO Son emphasized, "India is a strategically important market for Krafton," and added, "Based on the strong cooperative relationship between the two countries, we will develop the Indian gaming ecosystem and provide users with new gaming experiences."
