Creating a Bio Ecosystem and Discovering Collaborative Projects
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has embarked on establishing a future strategy to foster a regionally specialized biohealth industry.
On the 19th, Yongin City announced on the 20th that it formed the 'Biohealth Future Strategy Advisory Group' and held its first meeting at the City Hall Vision Hall.

The advisory group consists of six biofield experts, including Professor Kim Young-seon of Kyung Hee University Graduate School of East-West Medicine, Dean Kim Jang-mook of Dankook University College of Health Sciences, Second Vice President Kim Ja-kyung of Yongin Severance Hospital, Director Jang Dong-hyuk of the Medical Support Center at the Korea Chemical Convergence Testing Institute, and Director Lee Young-tae of the New Drug Research Institute at Hanlim Pharmaceutical.
Over the next two years, the advisory group will engage in activities such as establishing the basic policy plan for Yongin City's biohealth sector, sharing domestic and international bioindustry-related information, and proposing support measures for related companies.
At the meeting, the city presented appointment letters to the six experts appointed as advisory group members and discussed the current status of Yongin City's bioindustry, policy promotion directions in related fields, strategies for responding to government public projects, and discovering cooperative projects.
A city official stated, "We will build a solid cooperative system with the advisory group to create a Yongin-type bioindustry ecosystem by promoting various government public projects in the future."
