Geumcheon-gu Hosts Public Debate on 'Out-of-School Youth Status and Support Measures'

Held at Modu School at 3 PM on the 22nd... Discussion on Youth Support Status, Crisis Response, and Youth Policy Directions

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on September 22 at 3 PM, a public forum on "The Current Status and Support Measures for Out-of-School Youth" will be held at the "Various Hall" of Modu School.

The forum is being held to collectively consider the crisis status of out-of-school youth and to prepare necessary support measures for them.

Professor Im Jae-yeon from Mokwon University will give a keynote presentation on the "Study on the Crisis Status of Out-of-School Youth in Geumcheon-gu," followed by discussions on the current support status for out-of-school youth, crisis response, and youth policy directions. Afterwards, out-of-school youth and their parents will propose "What They Hope for Geumcheon-gu."

Out-of-school youth and their parents, Yoo Hye-jin, Director of the Seoul Out-of-School Youth Support Center, Kim Mi-jung, Director of the Geumcheon-gu Out-of-School Support Center, Ryu Kyung-sook, Director of the Geumcheon Education Welfare Center, Choi Jeong-yoon, Vice Principal of Nangok Middle School, and Park Sang-wook, School Police Officer of Geumcheon Police Station, will discuss policies related to out-of-school youth.

The forum is open to out-of-school youth, their parents, and local residents. Residents who wish to attend can apply by scanning the QR code on the promotional material and submitting the application form.

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu stated, "I hope this will be an opportunity for various institutions to share and collectively consider the crisis status of out-of-school youth in Geumcheon-gu," and added, "We will continue to promote various support projects so that out-of-school youth can grow up healthily."
