Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister's Award - Smart Housing Sector
DK Asia's ‘Geomam Station Royal Park City’ received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award in the Smart Housing category at the 2023 Asia Construction Comprehensive Awards. It was highly praised by the judges for introducing the concept of an urban brand for the first time in Korea and leading a paradigm shift in the Korean housing industry by unveiling the urban brand ‘Royal Park City,’ a high-end resort city concept.
Geomam Station Royal Park City is a resort city developed by the major developer DK Asia in Geomam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon. In June, the ‘Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio,’ a mammoth-scale complex with 25 buildings up to 40 floors above ground and 4,805 households, began occupancy first, and an additional supply of about 20,000 households is planned.
In line with the resort city concept, Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio offers a high-end one-stop healing life with six-star facilities including a swimming pool, fitness center, golf practice range, cinema, and book caf?, as well as three meals (sam-sik, 三食) services all located within the complex.
Additionally, the ‘Royal Concierge Lounge’ service was introduced, with dedicated managers residing on-site to assist residents, enhancing the convenience and premium brand image of the resort city. A one-pass system was also implemented to strengthen resident security and facilitate easy access for visitors.
Especially, through an app (APP), residents can easily reserve and use community facilities such as the golf practice range, study room, and cinema. Other conveniences include shuttle bus boarding and alighting via QR code issuance and checking the Royal Trinity Lounge Pulmuone three meals service menu, further enhancing resident convenience.
DK Asia also put great effort into the landscaping management of Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio. Realizing the landscaping concept of ‘no visible soil,’ 40% of the complex is landscaped. To continuously maintain the landscaping, DK Asia collaborated with Samsung C&T Resort Division, which provides professional landscaping diagnosis and management services. The ‘Geomam Station Royal Park City,’ featuring 1.4 million flowers and trees, large trees, themed forests, sedges, herbaceous plants, and silver grass, is cared for by four tree doctors registered with Samsung C&T Resort Division’s Tree Hospital.
DK Asia is also meticulous about construction management for Royal Park City. In addition to construction and supervision companies, they selected a Construction Management (CM) company for the first time in the industry, establishing a ‘triple construction safety device.’ This triple safety system was applied not only to the currently occupied Geomam Station Royal Park City but also to Wanggil Station Royal Park City, the first pilot complex of 21,313 households under the resort special city concept to be unveiled in October.
Kim Jung-mo, Chairman of DK Asia, explained, “DK Asia is paying more attention not only to scale but also to details to create a more evolved resort city. We have done our best to realize a true ‘staycation’ where Royal Park City residents can enjoy the life of a resort city at home, not just a resort they have to leave to visit, and to establish the ‘Royal Park City’ brand as the ‘first urban brand and the best brand.’”
