Field Inspections by Sector
to Ensure Safe Facility Use for Returning Visitors and Residents
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 20th that it conducted safety inspections on multi-use facilities expected to see concentrated use by returning visitors and residents ahead of Chuseok.
This safety inspection was carried out jointly by the county, related organizations, and private experts, checking eight multi-use private businesses such as sales facilities, transportation facilities, and movie theaters, where the number of users increases during the holiday, focusing on fire, electrical, architectural, and gas sectors.
The main inspection items focused on the safety management status of evacuation and fire prevention facilities, such as cracks and damage to buildings and securing emergency exits, and measures were taken to ensure that returning visitors and residents can use the facilities safely, including clearing obstructions in access routes and in front of distribution boards.
County Governor Gu In-mo said, “We will do our best to ensure safety during the period of concentrated crowds so that our fellow countrymen visiting their hometowns with joyful hearts can have a safe Chuseok holiday,” and added, “We hope that facility managers will also conduct their own safety inspections and actively cooperate in preventing safety accidents.”
Meanwhile, Geochang-gun plans to conduct inspections of traditional markets in the area on the 26th, jointly with related organizations including Governor Gu In-mo, and will promote fire prevention and price stabilization campaigns.
