The ShinHyup Gwangju Western Council donated 4.3 million won in hometown love donations to Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Seo-gu on the 19th, the ShinHyup Gwangju Western Council consists of 12 cooperatives based in Seo-gu and Nam-gu (Gwangju Shinwoo, Namgwangju, Y, Samae, Gwangju Woori, Gwangju Jungbu, Bangnim, Gwangju Wesley, Ipha, Yangdong Haengbok, Saem, Hwajeong ShinHyup) and is leading the spread of a beautiful donation culture.

Jung Chan-kwon, chairman of the ShinHyup Gwangju Western Council, said, “The executives and employees of ShinHyup will take the lead in contributing to the development of Seo-gu through the hometown love donation system and strive to revitalize the local economy.”
Kim Yi-gang, head of Seo-gu Office, said, “We thank those who have supported the development of Seo-gu and the activation of the hometown love donation system,” adding, “The hometown love donations from the executives and employees of the ShinHyup Gwangju Western Council, who sent warm hearts, will be used valuably for regional development and residents’ happiness.”
Meanwhile, the hometown love donation system, implemented from this year, is a system where anyone can participate by donating to a local government other than their registered address and receive tax deduction benefits and local agricultural and specialty products as gifts from the local government. Anyone can participate in the hometown love donation through the Hometown Love e-um system or by visiting NongHyup Bank.
