Ulsan Fire Department Installs Fire Truck Guidance Lines Within Complex
Installed on the 19th at Jung-gu Beonyeongro Centridge, Ulsan's First
Thick painted lines gradually appear on the roads within apartment complexes in the Ulsan area. These lines are not like highway exit markings but are so-called "lifelines" responsible for the golden time.
On the 19th, Ulsan City announced plans to install fire truck guidance lines to secure golden time during fire, rescue, and emergency situations.
The Ulsan Fire Headquarters previously installed fire truck guidance lines for the first time in the Ulsan area within the Byeonyeongro Centridge apartment complex in Boksan-dong, Jung-gu.
The fire truck guidance lines mark the routes on the roads inside the complex from the apartment entrance to each building with paint, allowing fire trucks to quickly reach the designated building day and night.
These lines were first installed nationwide in Gwangju in 2019, and it was analyzed that the average arrival time of fire trucks from the apartment entrance to the site was reduced by 16 seconds.
The Ulsan Fire Headquarters plans to expand the installation starting with Byeonyeongro Centridge.
Lee Jae-soon, head of the Ulsan Fire Headquarters, said, "Arriving at the site as quickly as possible is the most certain way to secure the golden time," adding, "Ulsan Fire will gradually install fire truck guidance lines within apartment complexes to secure golden time."
Byeonyeongro Centridge, where the guidance lines are being installed for the first time in the Ulsan area, is a large apartment complex in Boksan-dong, Jung-gu, consisting of 5 complexes, 29 buildings, and 2,625 households. Construction began around July 2021, and move-in is scheduled to start on September 26.
