Song Jong-seon, head of Cafe24 Marketing Innovation (MI) Division, said in an interview with Asia Economy on the 20th, "The success strategy big data that is accumulated daily is our greatest asset."


Leading the Cafe24 Marketing Center, Song is a 'veteran of the global e-commerce market,' having served as KT Commerce executive director and CEO of AcomMate Hong Kong and Shanghai branches. He is recently focusing on hyper-personalized marketing based on AI along with vast big data. Hyper-personalized marketing refers to an advertising method that uses AI to understand individual consumer preferences and then provides optimal advertisements tailored to them. Previously, cookies (data fragments generated when users are active on the web), which are essential for hyper-personalized marketing, acted as obstacles due to violations of personal information processing laws and regulations. However, with the recent enactment of related laws one after another, it is analyzed that Cafe24, which possesses vast big data, can secure a favorable position.


Song emphasized, "Cafe24 analyzes user behavior and target behavior by utilizing its own data and AI technology to maximize marketing performance," adding, "We plan to continue playing a leading role by launching diagnostic services to build customer-tailored sites."


Recently, Song has been working to create an environment where early-stage entrepreneurs without specialized marketing knowledge and with small advertising budgets can easily engage in marketing. As part of this effort, in May, Cafe24 launched 'Cafe24 Ads,' an AI-based advertising service that provides customized marketing strategies easy enough for beginners to follow.


Song explained, "Thanks to attracting customers ranging from very small early-stage entrepreneurs to large-scale clients, Cafe24 was able to accumulate various strategies and experience data," adding, "Our goal is to leverage these advantages to help diverse customers receive appropriate services tailored to their situations regardless of budget size."
