About 50 Employees from 7 Social Enterprise Care Businesses in Gyeongbuk Attend from Various Cities and Counties
The Gyeongbuk Province Care Industry Social Enterprise Council, together with Jiyokwa Social Bee and others, visited Daejin 1-ri village in Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun on the 15th to carry out social contribution activities such as mobile bathing services, residential environment improvement, lunch provision, and hairdressing services for local elderly residents.
This event was sponsored by Yeongdeok-gun and participated in by seven care industry social enterprise organizations from seven cities and counties in Gyeongbuk Province, including Yeongdeok Care Cooperative, Gagyeong Social Service Support Center, Care Social Service Center, Dream Care Center, Sharing and Care Social Service Support Center, Ddukkeobi School Cooperative, and Hyo and Sarang.
For this event, the council deployed three bathing vehicles, four hairdressers, and about 50 volunteers including electrical technicians to provide bathing services, hairdressing services, electrical repairs, wallpaper and flooring replacement, and other residential environment improvement activities for elderly residents with mobility difficulties, while providing lunch to about 200 local residents.
Kim Gwang-yeol, the mayor of Yeongdeok-gun, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We will make greater efforts to strengthen solidarity with social enterprises that realize the value of community and contribute to job creation for vulnerable groups, and to support them.”
