Song Ki-heon, the Democratic Party's senior deputy floor leader, said to reporters at the National Assembly's legislative affairs office after submitting the motion to dismiss the Prime Minister, "As decided by the party members at the Saturday (16th) caucus meeting as the party's official stance, we submitted the motion to dismiss Prime Minister Han today."

He added, "Overall, the country is plunged into chaos, and there is also the fault of the Prime Minister failing to properly oversee the ministers," and said, "We gathered the will of Democratic Party members that the Prime Minister and the entire cabinet must be completely reshuffled for the country to move forward properly." He continued, "After the dismissal resolution, we earnestly hope that the President will accept the opinion, reshuffle the cabinet, and change the national administration plan," and said, "I hope the reshuffle will definitely happen, especially to honor Representative Lee Jae-myung's purpose of fasting."

The motion to dismiss Prime Minister Han is expected to be reported at the plenary session held on the morning of the 20th and voted on at the plenary session on the 21st.

Prime Minister Han said, "There will be procedures in the National Assembly, so I will wait and see." After the coalition group leaders' speeches at the National Assembly on the morning of the same day, he told reporters, "I don't think this is something I should comment on," regarding the Democratic Party's submission of the motion to dismiss the Prime Minister.

Regarding Representative Lee, who was transferred to the hospital due to health deterioration from fasting, he wished for a speedy recovery. He said, "I hope Representative Lee's health recovers quickly." He did not give a direct answer regarding the 'total cabinet resignation.'
