On the 17th, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 18th that it successfully held the second lottery for tenants of the '10,000 Won Rental Housing' support project for young people and newlyweds at the Hanium Culture and Sports Center.
A total of 495 people were eligible for the second lottery.
Among them, 32 were absent, resulting in 463 participants in the lottery. The drawing order started with newlyweds, followed by the youth group.
The supply plan for the second phase of the 10,000 Won Rental Housing was to allocate a total of 52 units, with 26 units for youth and 26 units for newlyweds. However, only 21 newlyweds passed the document screening and participated in the event, so the remaining 5 units were reallocated to the youth category.
As a result, 31 youths and 21 newlyweds were finally selected.
Including 5 reserve tenants who will be additionally selected in case of withdrawal, a total of 57 tenants and reserve tenants have been finalized.
At the lottery event, County Governor Gu Bok-gyu said, “We started the 10,000 Won Rental Housing project to solve social problems faced by young people who give up marriage and childbirth due to high housing costs. Based on the success of this project, we will strive to develop better policies that address not only housing costs but also employment and childcare issues to solve the concerns of our younger generation.”
The winners of the second lottery can move in from the end of October and must complete their resident registration with Hwasun-gun immediately upon moving in.
