SKT Unveils AI Campaign on Companion Dogs 'Sigolzab Health Center'

SK Telecom announced on the 17th that it will unveil a digital campaign video titled "Sigorjav Health Center," featuring a pet dog as the main character to convey SK Telecom's philosophy on artificial intelligence (AI) to the world.

"Sigorjav Health Center" is a title derived from the nickname "Sigorjavjong," which humorously refers to mixed-breed dogs. The video was created with the hope of protecting the health of cute and pure dogs through SK Telecom's AI technology and empathizing with pet owners who love animals.

The video, released on YouTube on the 17th, depicts various episodes involving a veterinarian in a rural village and an AI assistant helping the villagers and their pet dogs. It features diverse characters, such as a grandmother who treats her dog like family and a man who rushes to the health center late at night carrying his sick dog, delivering a gentle and touching story.

In particular, this campaign personifies "Excalibur," an animal medical AI service, portraying SK Telecom's AI as a cheerful and entertaining presence in everyday life.

Actor Kim Sang-ho plays the role of a kind-hearted veterinarian who attentively cares for the villagers' affairs, while Lee Sang-i appears as the personified AI, assisting the veterinarian's diagnoses and monitoring the health status of the village dogs.

Last year, SK Telecom launched "Excalibur," an AI-based veterinary video diagnostic assistance service. Utilizing AI technology, it aims to realize social value by enhancing the medical welfare of pets and continues efforts to improve animal rights, including advancing pet medical care.

SK Telecom plans to hold an offline event in October, visiting customers who own pet dogs to provide pet diagnosis and veterinary consultations using Excalibur. The fun and emotional impact of the campaign video is expected to be further amplified through direct interactions with customers. Participation in the offline event is available via SK Telecom's official Instagram.

Actor Lee Sang-i, who appeared in the campaign video, said, "While playing the personified Excalibur, I felt that AI technology plays an important role in conveying the affectionate feelings between pets and their owners. I hope many people will relate to the campaign."

Park Kyu-hyun, head of SK Telecom's Digital Communication, stated, "The campaign conveys that the warm feelings for pets meet AI technology and connect people to each other. It expresses SK Telecom's AI philosophy with a warm perspective, such as AI used in various areas of daily life and AI that reaches people's hearts."
