Chosun University’s 2024 early admission for freshmen recorded a competition rate of 4.4 to 1.

Chosun University announced on the 16th that a total of 18,997 applicants applied for 4,303 available spots in the 2024 academic year early admission.

This early admission expanded by 541 spots compared to the 2023 academic year recruitment.

By admission type, the competition rates were 5 to 1 for Student Record Screening (General Track), 5 to 1 for Student Record Screening (Regional Talent Track), 6.8 to 1 for Student Record Comprehensive Screening (Interview Track), 3.5 to 1 for Student Record Comprehensive Screening (Document Review Track), and 3.5 to 1 for Practical/Performance (Practical Track).

In the Student Record Screening (General Track), the competition rates were 13.7 to 1 for the Department of Medicine, 17.5 to 1 for the Department of Dentistry, and 14.4 to 1 for the Department of Pharmacy. In the Student Record Screening (Regional Talent Track), the Department of Medicine had a competition rate of 6.9 to 1, the Department of Dentistry 7.5 to 1, and the Department of Pharmacy 16 to 1. For the Student Record Comprehensive Screening (Interview Track), which includes interviews, the competition rates were 11.5 to 1 for the Department of Medicine, 20.8 to 1 for the Department of Dentistry, and 27.8 to 1 for the Department of Pharmacy.

In the Student Record Screening (General Track), the highest competition rates were seen in the order of the Department of Nursing, Division of Liberal Studies, Department of Occupational Therapy, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Police Administration, and Department of Japanese.

In the Student Record Comprehensive Screening (Interview Track), the highest competition rates were in the order of the Department of Nursing, Department of Sports Industry, School of Business Administration, Department of Food and Nutrition, Department of Architecture (5-year program), and Department of Media Communication.

In the Practical/Performance (Practical Track), the highest competition rates were in the order of the Department of Cartoon & Animation, Department of Physical Education, and Department of Sports Industry.

The deadline for document submission is until the 22nd. The second stage evaluation for Student Record Screening (Military Science Track) will be held from October 11 to 12, and interviews for Student Record Comprehensive Screening (Interview Track, Software Track, Entrepreneurship Talent Track) will be conducted until November 25 to 26.

Practical exams will be held on October 14 and October 21. The final successful candidates for early admission will be announced on November 10, December 14, and December 15.
