Dongdaemun Public Officials Volunteer Group Visits Elderly Living Alone with District Mayor, Delivers Chuseon Gifts

On the 16th, the ‘Donghaeng Staff Volunteer Group,’ a public servant volunteer team in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, along with District Mayor Ilhyeong Lee, visited four households of elderly people living alone in the district to deliver Chuseok gifts.

The Donghaeng volunteer staff delivered songpyeon, fruits, and Chuseok gifts to the elderly living alone, while members of the staff’s other clubs performed, creating a warm and abundant holiday atmosphere.

Mayor Lee said, “I feel proud to be able to care for and communicate with elderly people living alone together with the staff volunteer group,” adding, “We will continue to get closer to neighbors in need within the district and listen carefully to ensure that no residents are left isolated, making Dongdaemun-gu a happy place for all.”

The ‘Donghaeng Staff Volunteer Group,’ composed of Dongdaemun-gu employees, practices sharing and communicates with marginalized groups in the district through regular volunteer activities.
