He also plans to listen to various ideas such as sales using online platforms, expansion of parking lots, plans to revitalize the alley with MZ generation sensibility, and proposals for handmade shoes festival programs.
Ryu Gyuha, head of Jung-gu Office, said, "I ordered a pair of handmade shoes with love for handmade shoes in celebration of Chuseok," and added, "I will do my best to help revitalize the alley through the Red Shoes Story Festival and to revitalize the famous alleys including the Handmade Shoes Alley."

The Handmade Shoes Alley in Hyangchon-dong, Daegu, is a 300-meter street connecting Jungang-ro and Jongno from east to west. Since the 1970s, handmade shoe-related businesses began to gather here, and by the 1990s, it took on its current form. This alley houses about 60 businesses including shoe repair shops, raw material and parts suppliers, shoe retail stores, shoe design, and cutting companies.
