On the 14th, Statistics Korea announced that it will conduct a daily price survey during the Chuseok holiday. This is to quickly provide data necessary for measures to stabilize people’s livelihoods.

The survey covers a total of 35 items, including Chuseok seasonal products such as rice and beef, as well as petroleum products and dining out. The survey will be conducted through visits (interviews) and online surveys in seven special and metropolitan cities, including Seoul and Busan. The period is from today until the 27th. The results will be provided daily to relevant government departments.

On the first day of the survey, Lee Hyung-il, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, visited Namguro Market in Guro-gu, Seoul, and said, “Statistics Korea is striving to promptly provide price trends that serve as the basis for stabilizing the supply and demand of Chuseok seasonal products and related price policies.”
