The '2023 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo,' held in Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, the number one dinosaur site in South Korea, is less than a month away. Following the successful event last month at KINTEX in Goyang City, the best dinosaur festival in South Korea, themed around dinosaurs that once ruled the Earth, will take place at Danghangpo Tourist Site.
The '2023 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo' is preparing to offer even more diverse and exciting experiences. Special parades, exhibitions, performances, and hands-on activities presented by performance groups from various countries will provide visitors with moving experiences and educationally enriching moments.
At the expo venue, the parade, which is a must-see event, returns this year with a newer and more magnificent appearance. While other exhibitions can be visited later, the parade?the highlight of the expo?is not just an option but an essential course that must be seen during the expo period.
The performance team, composed of professional foreign actors with extensive stage experience from various countries, will conduct a splendid parade twice a day (three times during night openings), starting from the Dinosaur Fountain, passing the Character Hall, and proceeding to the permanent stage.
Following the parade, the troupe will also perform themed shows twice daily on the permanent stage. The performances are in musical format, featuring lively music and choreography, allowing the audience and performers to enjoy the festival together and fully immerse themselves in the dinosaur world.
At the '2023 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo,' visitors can experience a beautiful dinosaur world through various videos utilizing modern technology, available in each exhibition hall.
From 9:10 AM, every hour on the hour and at the half-hour mark, visitors can watch 3D videos in the Video Hall, 4D videos in the Theme Hall, and 360-degree circle videos in the Korean Peninsula Dinosaur Footprint Fossil Hall.
In the Video Hall, visitors can embark on a time travel journey to find dinosaurs from 70 million years ago through 3D videos.
The Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition Hall, where authentic dinosaur fossils and animatronic dinosaurs were previously displayed, has transformed into a complex exhibition and experience hall.
From the media art at the entrance reminiscent of a jungle from the dinosaur era to dinosaur fossils and animatronic dinosaurs, it offers a variety of rare and fascinating sights.
In the excavation experience area, visitors can excavate dinosaur fossils from cypress wood cubes or enter a sandbox like an exploration team to experience digging firsthand. The gray world extending on the walls of the painting space is filled with various colors that create a new colorful world, sparking children's imaginations.
In the Theme Hall, visitors can also enjoy various animatronic dinosaur exhibitions, VR experiences, and live sketching. The live sketch space, where dinosaur drawings created by visitors come to life on the wall through video projection, and the interactive video space where children naturally learn through playing 공기놀이 (Konggi Nori), are extremely popular among kids.
