Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 12th with Seoul City and the project operator SBC PFV (CEO Lee Dong-jun) to create a public contribution facility (tentatively named ‘Visible Storage’) within the Seoripul district unit planning area, which was formerly the site of the Intelligence Command.

This MOU is a public-private agreement to facilitate the smooth establishment of a museum donated by the project operator. The innovative landmark building, with a total project cost of 194.4 billion KRW, will have 8 floors and a total floor area of 19,500㎡, featuring an open storage facility, conservation science room, and special exhibition hall.

Alongside the museum operated by Seoul City, another donated facility to be operated by the district is a performance hall (tentatively named ‘Seoripul Sound’). It will have 4 floors and a total floor area of 17,406㎡, with a total project cost of 124.8 billion KRW.

The building’s design is inspired by the cultural and musical waves spreading from Seoripul, adding symbolic value. It will offer performances not only offline but also online, aiming to provide a richer variety of performances and musical experiences.

The district expects that the creation of a cultural and artistic complex on the Intelligence Command site will establish a key axis of the ‘cultural belt’ extending from the Seoul Arts Center to the Han River’s Sebitseom.

Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, stated, “Through this MOU, the smooth progress of the ‘Visible Storage’ construction will create another local landmark, and together with the planned performance hall on the same site, it is expected to expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment for local residents and the general public.”
