This system displays the 119 emergency call details as text on the 119 comprehensive situation room screen, helping the reception staff quickly grasp disaster situations.
At the same time as receiving the call, the AI analyzes the conversation content including the address, place name, and building name mentioned by the caller, and automatically displays the incident location and dispatch route on the Geographic Information System (GIS).
The Chungnam Fire Headquarters enabled the AI to deepen its learning of residents’ intonation, dialects, and place names based on accumulated voice data to improve accuracy in the call reception process.
Additionally, by 2025, they plan to enhance the AI system by adding disaster response manuals and improving the voice recognition rate of 119 calls.
Through this, the Chungnam Fire Headquarters expects to secure the golden time by reducing the time reception staff spend repeatedly asking callers due to inaccurate reports.
Kim Yeonsang, head of the Chungnam Fire Headquarters, said, “We expect that the establishment of a fire system integrated with AI will enable rapid dispatch of fire units in emergency situations.”
