On the 9th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, successfully concluded the closing ceremony of the 2023 Youth Harmony Festival, held in three sessions at Yeonho Park in Uljin-eup, with the participation of over 300 local youths and parents.
The Youth Harmony Festival is the only event of its kind conducted in a county within the province, exclusively by Uljin-gun. Since 2008, the county has been organizing this event annually to foster a healthy youth culture by connecting youth clubs with community resources.
This year’s event featured 11 teams in the performance segment, showcasing a variety of acts including dance performances, band performances, and saxophone playing. The experience booths, participated in by non-performance clubs and local organizations, offered unique activities such as crafting experiences, youth human rights quizzes, food tasting, and CPR training, making the closing ceremony even more meaningful.
County Governor Son Byung-bok said, “I hope the Harmony Festival provided a place where youths could freely showcase their talents and creativity,” adding, “We will continue to support the development of diverse programs that all youths can enjoy next year as well.”
