One-to-One Establishment of Social Contribution Fund
Solus Advanced Materials has completed a project to support drinking water purification systems at schools in Vietnam in collaboration with the global child rights NGO Good Neighbors as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management efforts.
Solus Advanced Materials announced on the 12th that it has finished installing drinking water purification facilities and 35 water fountains at three schools in the Tin Lang area of Hoa Binh Province, Vietnam, and held a handover ceremony for the water fountains.
The schools where Solus Advanced Materials installed the drinking water purification systems are Yen Mong School with 517 students, and Tong Nut Elementary and Middle Schools with 533 students. At Yen Mong School, three tanks?a 2000ℓ water tank, and 2000ℓ and 1000ℓ drinking water tanks?were each equipped with a pre-filtration system and reverse osmosis devices to provide clean drinking water.
Fifteen new water fountains were also installed. At Tong Nut Elementary School, a purification system using reverse osmosis devices and 10 water fountains were installed, and the same purification system and 10 additional water fountains were installed at the middle school.

About 1,000 hygiene kits were also provided. These kits included tumblers for drinking purified water, school supplies, towels, eco bags, and other necessary items for the children.
This support for the drinking water purification system in Vietnam was funded through a matching grant jointly raised by Solus Advanced Materials’ employees and the company. A matching grant means that employees donate a certain amount from their monthly salary each month, and the company matches the same amount one-to-one to create a social contribution fund.
Seo Gwang-byeok, CEO of Solus Advanced Materials, said, "With the installation of this drinking water purification system, about 1,000 young Vietnamese students who are very active can now drink clean water at school." He added, "We will continue to strengthen ESG management through ongoing social contribution activities and do our best to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
