Ms. A first expressed, "I am truly saddened and heartbroken by the passing of the teacher who taught our child. I offer my deepest condolences and pray for their peace." She also acknowledged, "One of the four students who exhibited problematic behavior was indeed my child."
She continued, "At the beginning of the semester, my child had difficulty adjusting, so I had two consultations with the teacher. When leaving the school, I cried heavily out of remorse toward the teacher and concern for my child," adding, "I am very sorry to the teacher and classmates who may have been inconvenienced by my child's behavior."
However, she claimed, "I have never once filed a complaint with the school or accused the teacher of child abuse due to dissatisfaction with the teacher's guidance."
Ms. A stated, "As someone who also guides children, I understand the teacher's difficulties to some extent, so I never even considered treating the teacher disrespectfully," and added, "When consulting with the teacher about my child's issues, I always bowed my head and apologized, saying 'I'm sorry, teacher.'"
Regarding claims that the parents of the four children who showed problematic behavior spread rumors about the teacher while gathering together, she also asserted, "We shared concerns about our children, but we never spread malicious rumors or slandered the teacher."
Ms. A said, "I am currently being accused as a perpetrator, my livelihood is threatened, and my child's personal information has been exposed," adding, "I am under tremendous mental distress and still do not understand why I am involved in this. I plan to use every means to prove my innocence."
She further requested, "I hope people will refrain from malicious doxxing and harmful rumors," and earnestly appealed, "Please stop spreading false information to prevent secondary damage to innocent people."
Earlier, Ms. A's husband, the Hapkido instructor, also posted on the cafe, expressing, "Seeing posts calling me a 'murderer' makes my heart pound and fills me with injustice," and appealed, "While the intention may have been to punish those who acted wrongly, we are truly not involved."
According to the Daejeon Teachers' Union, elementary school teacher Mr. B, who worked in Yuseong-gu in 2019, was subjected to years of malicious parental complaints after sending a student who assaulted a friend to the principal's office, and was accused of child abuse in 2020.
Mr. B transferred to another elementary school this year but reportedly continued to suffer from trauma (post-traumatic stress disorder). On the 5th, he attempted suicide at home and was taken to a nearby hospital, but passed away on the 7th.
