Geumcheon-gu to Host 'Yua Forest Family Festival' on September 16... Enjoy Play and Craft Experiences with Children and Magic Shows in the Forest
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the 10th "Early Childhood Forest Family Festival" at the Baejangi Early Childhood Forest Experience Center on September 16th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Early Childhood Forest Family Festival is themed "Dunggae Dunggae Playing Forest and Resting Forest with Children" and is aimed at families with preschool children (ages 4 to 7). It offers four play experiences, two craft activities, and a magic show so that parents and children can play and relax in the forest.
The play experiences are open to all visitors. Participants can enjoy "Our Family's Life Shot," taking family photos with nature; "Climb the Rope and Play Instruments," where they complete missions by climbing ropes; "Hit the Acorns," throwing rubber shoes to hit acorns; and "Our Family's Shelter, Baejangi Forest," sitting on logs and listening to the sounds of nature.
The craft activities are available only to families who have pre-registered. They include making decorations and creating personalized instruments using natural materials such as pine cones and wood pieces.
After the play and craft activities, a magic show featuring flower magic and card magic will be performed. The magic show is open to all attendees.
There is also a festival review event. After participating in the festival, attendees can post photos and reviews on their personal social networking services (SNS) mentioning the Baejangi Early Childhood Forest Experience Center, save the screen, and submit it via email. Geumcheon-gu plans to select sincere reviews and provide coffee (mobile coupons) as prizes.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope families can experience nature and create memories with their children at the nearby early childhood forest this coming weekend."
